SomnoScore is an application designed for preclinical sleep studies using multi-channel telemetric capture and analysis for EEG, EOG, EMG, heart rate and temperature signals. In sleep and pain study models, subjects include canine, non-human primate and rats.

SomnoScore captures and analyzes signals from ITS Telemetry Systems and industrial standard amplifiers and meters. 

1 Data Acquisition

Up to 16 channels of physiological signals can be acquired and displayed simultaneously.

2 Score Description Editor

 The user can score each page/epoch of the data using either the keyboard or the mouse in conjunction with numbers associated with user-defined sleep stages and wakefulness.

3 Review

  • Each 30 second or user selected epoch can be displayed in its own “window” in which all measured parameters are displayed graphically
  • The user can enter start time, stop time, and time range before the start of scoring in order to specify the sections of data to score
  • Each individually scored epoch displays its score when it is opened
  • Elapsed time or real time of the recorded data can be displayed in the Review window

4 Hypnogram

A graphical representation of a Hypnogram is displayed during scoring and enables the user to view and/or re-score pages or epochs at any point during the study timeline. Scored sleep stages and wakefulness are color coded within the Hypnogram to show the stages over the entire recorded study timeline. The percent of each stage is calculated and stored.

  • List of event letters and descriptions
